Pada penjaringan Balon itu Roy meraup suara 37 dan Rendy hanya lima suara. Praktis pada penjaringan Balon tidak dilanjutkan lagi pada tahapan berikutnya. Sebab sesuai dengan peraturan pada sidang pleno pasal 15.2 poin c. Pasal tersebut menyebutkan Bakal Calon ketua umum minimal mendapat dukungan suara 20 persen dari jumlah suara yang sah, selanjutnya ditetapkan menjadi calon ketua umum. Jika ada balon yang mendapat dukungan suara 50 persen plus satu, maka dapat ditetapkan menjadi ketua umum terpilih, dengan dimikian tahpan-tahapan selanjutnya tidak perlu dilaksanakan.
